FAQ
How much is the deposit, and when is the remainder due?
- 1500, 1000 of which is fully refundable if you cancel before sept 15. Remainder is due sept 15.
What sort of lodging/accommodations can be expected?
- You'll be staying for 3 nights in Yatsugatake Fujiyama Terrace, a large traditional Japanese Shoji house that was renovated from the Meiji period. The large glass-enclosed bath can accommodate 10 people at a time, and there is also a steam sauna. After the sauna, cool down on the private wooden terrace while gazing at the starry sky, with a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji!

How much time will be allocated to free shooting vs workshop/education time? How will time with the models be allocated/arranged?
- We will have 3-4 hours in each location, a minimum of one hour of free shooting per location for each model, so 2 hours total per location. We'll be focusing on some advanced techniques, including synchro-sun photography, movement, fashion, and fine art nudes, in both indoor locations and outdoor environments. Think waterfalls, and private wooded glades galore, just in time for the Koyo season (autumn leaves) - all happening somewhere in mid-oct to early nov for that reason.
When and where should airfare be arranged to? Is there going to be a shuttle from the airport to lodging? Any other info around this would help a lot; I like to have a good handle on what to expect in advance if possible.
- There are two airports into Toyko to choose from. We’ll likely arrange either a bus or train from a central location to Yamanashi. I’d recommend flying in at least a couple of days ahead to acclimatize to the jet lag.
